Over the years we have received plenty of questions regarding Turducken. So we decided to create a Turducken 101 info guide.
How many people does a Turducken roll serve?
4 to 6 people
How many people does a 10 pound Turducken serve?
12 to 18 normal people (or 8 REALLY hungry people)

25 to 30 normal people (or 18 REALLY hungry people)
When should I order my turducken? When is the very last day to order for delivery by Thanksgiving?
We make turduckens all year-long, but traditionally turduckens are served during the fall and the winter holiday season. We will sell out, so don't wait too long to place your order. FedEx experiences heavy volume around Thanksgiving and Christmas, so we recommend placing your order no later than November the 20th for Thanksgiving, and December the 21st for Christmas. But why pay for 2-day or overnight shipping. Order now and have it in plenty of time if you order before November 16th for Thanksgiving and December 19th for Christmas this year.
How long can my purchased be kept frozen? How long can a turducken be stored/stay fresh before cooking? If I order a turducken now, will it be fine to keep it frozen until Christmas?
Products are generally good for 18 months if they are kept wrapped in an air tight bag and placed inside a freezer. The products must remain at a freezing temperature at all time. Once thawed, please follow instructions on the printed label.
What kind of prep work is involved?
None! Our Turduckens are pre-assembled and then frozen in vacuum-sealed bags.
How do you thaw a Turducken?
Our Turduckens are ready to cook, but must be thawed thoroughly beforehand.
To thaw a whole Turducken: Thaw in vacuum-sealed bag in refrigerator for 48-72 hours. To quick thaw a whole Turducken, submerge vacuum-sealed bag in cool water and change water every hour for approximately 6-8 hours.
To thaw a Turducken breast roll: Thaw in vacuum-sealed bag in refrigerator for 36-48 hours. To quick thaw a Turducken breast, submerge vacuum-sealed bag in cool water and change water every hour for approximately 3-4 hours.
How do you cook a Turducken?
Once your Turducken is thawed, remove it from the bag and bake at 325F, breast side up on a rack in a roasting pan. Bake covered with foil for 4 hours, then uncovered for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165F.

How do you slice a Turducken?
Whole Turduckens and Turducken breast rolls need to rest 20-30 minutes after they are removed from the oven. This allows the juices to reabsorb into the meat for easier slicing and juicier meat. If you have a whole Turducken, slice off the wings and drumsticks first. Cut the remaining breast into slices 1/2” to 3/4” thick, slicing wing to wing then once down the middle.
Can I deep-fry a Turducken?
No. There are no bones to support it.
Can I grill or smoke a Turducken? Can you cook a turducken on a BBQ grill, and how long? How about a smoker?
Yes. Set the Turducken on aluminum foil, so it does not stick to the grill; or set in an aluminum pan. Make sure you have a lid otherwise it won't cook right. Put a thermometer inside the Turducken, make sure the internal temperature reaches 165kF. Throughout the cooking process make sure the grill or smoker temperature stays at 350 degrees F.
What makes your turducken so tasty?
Each Turducken is ready to cook, pre-seasoned and stuffed with a moist Louisiana original stuffing.
Does the Turducken contain any MSG or preservatives?
No. It is prepared with all natural products.
Do you have a Gluten Free Turducken?
Due to the variety of products that we produce, some may contain traces of wheat, therefore, we cannot make any claims of our turduckens being gluten free.

Do you have a Turducken without pork?
Yes. The Seafood Jambalaya Turducken is the only one that does not contain Pork.
Is the Turducken spicy?
We use red peppers, cayenne peppers for only 2% seasoning and spices. It is well seasoned, flavorful, but not hot like hot sauce, or hot peppers.
Can I refreeze the Turducken?
If the turducken has been purchased through mail order, make sure it arrives frozen with a cold source in an insulated ice chest. Transfer it immediately to the freezer.
